Text Box: On receiving instructions the surveyor will outline the scope of the survey and it would be of assistance if you could inform him if you are having any structural alterations effected. He can give preliminary advice on the work, particularly as he has a working knowledge of design. David Oswick will be pleased to agree the basis of the fee at an early stage and if you should require a valuation for mortgage purposes, which is often acceptable to the Building Society, Bank etc., he will be pleased to arrange for a reduction in the overall fee, which can be effected when the surveyor carries out the structural survey and mortgage valuation together.
